“For me, being a kitty means creating a mental space where I can return to a state of innocence.
My kitty persona represents the child — or perhaps the teenager — version of myself,
who didn’t yet have to turn scars into armor in order to survive.As Aurora, who is in some way my spirit guide, sings:
‘I would rather see this world through the eyes of a child.’In my case, it’s not regression or age play, to be clear.
It’s simply the desire to rediscover inner softness — through cuddles and play —
and to embrace my “weird” and playful side,
instead of suppressing it to fit into a system built by and for neurotypicals.I want to feel like one of the cats I used to have,
wobbling on top of the fridge, looking at me with a sweet gaze,
then falling down and making me laugh.

but sometimes it’s helpful to carve out a space and a moment to stop thinking — and to feel innocent again.If my puppy persona (Darky) represents the me of the present,
then Nip is the me of the past — the one who refuses to bow to the chains imposed by the system.And it has always been natural for me to purr when I’m cuddled by friends or partners.
So here I am: your astounding green cat,
the other face of the medal to the fierce purple dog.
Both are mythopoietic forms of inner resistance against the absurdity of the world;
and that’s why I want to build a community where we can live together in our beingWeirdoandWarrior.”
