2) What Data We Collect
- Browsing data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, referrer URL, and basic device/network data collected via server logs and strictly necessary cookies.
- Account & Profile Data: When you register an account we process your username, first and last name, email address, password (stored hashed),birth date, preferred language, and any optional profile details you provide.
- Contact/communication data: If you write to us (e.g., email or contact forms), we process your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- User-Generated Content & Certificates: If you create playful certificates or submit content, we process the submitted text/media and related metadata (time, IP/device info) to deliver the feature and ensure platform safety.
- Events (RSVP): If you sign up for events, we may process contact details and attendance preferences to organize and run events.
- Usage & cookies data: Data collected via cookies or similar technologies (seeCookie Policybelow).
3) Purposes & Legal Bases
- Site operation & security– Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) and/or Art. 6(1)(b) (contract): to run, maintain, and secure the website; prevent fraud/abuse.
- Account creation & access control– Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; security & anti-abuse (including honeypot) – Art. 6(1)(f).
- Age appropriateness– We use your birth date only to verify eligibility or apply community rules (Art. 6(1)(f); or Art. 6(1)(c) where a legal duty applies).
- Responding to requests– Art. 6(1)(b)/(f): to handle your inquiries and support.
- User-generated content/certificates– Art. 6(1)(b) to deliver the feature; Art. 6(1)(f) for moderation and safety.
- Events– Art. 6(1)(b) for sign-ups; Art. 6(1)(f) for logistics/safety.
- Newsletters/updates (if enabled)– Art. 6(1)(a) (consent): only if you explicitly subscribe; you may withdraw consent anytime.
- Analytics/statistics– Art. 6(1)(a) (consent, unless strictly anonymized): to understand traffic and improve content (see GA4 details in the Cookie Policy).
- Legal obligations– Art. 6(1)(c): to comply with applicable laws and authorities.
4) How We Process Data
We apply technical and organizational measures (restricted access, secure hosting, backups, encryption where appropriate). Processing is performed with electronic tools and, when needed, limited paper records. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers strictly necessary to operate the site.
5) Retention Periods
- Server logs/browsing data:up to 6 months unless longer is needed for security or legal purposes.
- Account data (incl. birth date):kept while the account is active and up to 24 months after last activity or deletion request, unless legal obligations require longer.
- Contact/support exchanges:for the time needed to handle your request and up to 24 months for quality and traceability.
- UGC/certificates:retained while published or linked to your account; deleted or anonymized upon deletion request unless moderation logs require limited retention.
- Events/RSVP data:until the event concludes plus a short operational period (e.g., 90 days), unless longer retention is required by law.
- Newsletter data (if enabled):until you unsubscribe (withdraw consent).
- Legal/accounting records (if applicable):as required by law.
6) Sharing & International Transfers
We may share data with providers necessary to run the site (e.g., hosting, security, analytics, email/newsletter, event tools). Where providers are outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions). We do not sell personal data.
7) Your Rights under GDPR

If the community requires a minimum age, we use your birth date solely to verify eligibility and do not use it for unrelated purposes.
